I’ve been stuck in a bit of a makeup rut and in wanting to spice things up, I’ve been loving a few new (red) lip colors and a sultry new eye palette. Continue reading for some favorites from Sephora, both new & old!
Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette: The other day, I was looking at old pictures and there was one that particularly stood out to me. Rather than my usual go-to makeup look, I had a smoky plum eye and admittedly, my eyes popped like crazy. It was that photo that tempted me to get this palette. It has such a gorgeous array of beautiful colors and I have to rave about the pigmentation and how easily they blend.
Laura Mercier Translucent Loosing Setting Powder: This has been a staple in my makeup bag for years and with good reason: it’s lightweight, never looks chalky and does the best job at setting my makeup while eliminating my shiny t-zone shine.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz: Another one of my staples for years. I’ve tried many other pencils, but always end up rebuying this one. It glides on easily for a natural look and the slim applicator allows for supreme control. Also, having a spooly on one end is majorly helpful for blending and blurring. For color reference, I use soft brown.
Sephora #Lipstories Lipstick: A red lip is one of my signature go-to makeup looks and admittedly, I tend to reach for the same 1-2 colors on a regular basis. I’ve been on the hunt for a red shade that was a slightly different tone than my typical cool blue and I may have found the winners. I picked up colors #28 and #35 and they’re beautifully pigmented and don’t dry my lips out.
