Rewrite the Rules

I used to work at a company where I had to dress up every single day. And not in a way I enjoyed, but a more formal, buttoned up version of “workwear dress up..”  

These days, so many fashion rules, especially pertaining to  workwear, have been rewritten. It isn’t a world that benefits from rigid conformity.  What was once deemed unprofessional, like a simple tee rather than a button down, is out the window for so many of us and I am fully here for it.

I love teaming up with M.M.LaFleur to rewrite the typical work rules with everything around us, both personally and professionally, changing so much.

Here, I paired one of my favorite pairs of non-denim shorts, The Caitlin, with the Leslie tee that I now own in three colors: ivory, black and sky blue. I love that it’s a bit more substantial and dressier than the typical tee. I would also pair this outfit with their classic, low-top sneaker that I wear all the time.
