Beauty Items Worth Noting: Sephora Sale

Over the last week, I went through my beauty items to see what items I was planning to rebuy. A few were newer finds, but mostly, they were purchases that I’ve made time and time again. With the big Sephora sale upon us, this is always the time that I stock up on holy grail favorites and throw in a few new things that have been on my radar.

Skincare:

Farmacy Cleansing Balm: If you’re looking to get a cleanser during the sale, this balm cleanser is great for your first cleanse.  I would pair it with cleansing cloth to make sure you properly remove makeup and SPF.

Farmacy Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser: And for a gentle cleanser to follow, I really like this one.

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask:  I love this mask so much! If I’m feeling particularly dull and blah, I’ll often reach for this mask. It leaves my skin feeling brighter, tighter and just glowy. I use it about once a week and typically follow with a hydrating mask, like this one from Tata Harper or the above Honey Potion mask. If I don’t have time or the patience for another mask, I’ll just layer on some face oil and cream.

Omorozvicza Deep Cleaning Mask: I’ve loved the few products that I’ve tried from Omorozvica. They’re expensive, but truly such a beautiful skincare brand. I haven’t tried this mask yet, but it’s been on my radar for quite awhile!

Erno Laszlo Memory Gel Sleeping Mask: I used this mask years ago and it was a favorite of mine. Then I ran out and unfortunately, forgot about it. It was recently reintroduced into my life and I was reminded at why I like it so much. I put it on before bed and wake up with skin that’s bouncier, plumper and way more hydrated.

Sunday Riley A+ Retinol: If you’re looking to get a retinol during the sale, I really like this one from Sunday Riley. It does the job, but is gentle enough that it won’t irritate your skin. With that being said, whenever using any retinol, remember to start out SLOW and build up to it.

Sunday Riley Good Genes: The other day, I had someone ask me if I still like Good Genes. The short answer, yes!! It remains one of my favorite products. It’s a lactic acid, which is gentle yet very effective. This was actually my go-to exfoliating product when I was pregnant!

Drunk Elephant C-Firma Vitamin C: While I don’t love the packaging (I wish I knew when it was going to finish), I really do love this vitamin C.

Honey Butter Lip Balm: I’m a lip balm junkie and this one is good. Buttery soft and leaves my lips feeling nice and plump.

Tan-Luxe: My holy grail for keeping me looking somewhat bronzed and healthy.

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Eye Rescue Cream: Let me start off by saying that I don’t think there’s any miracle eye cream out there. Sure, there are some creams that will help, but none that will completely eliminate your dark circles or fine lines. I think it’s important that we all have realistic expectations on what you could (and could not) achieve from certain beauty products. With that being said, I really like this eye cream. It’s hydrating, it absorbs beautifully and it makes my eyes look a tad less puffy. Is it a miracle? I don’t think any eye cream is, but I’m a big fan of this one.

NUFACE Facial Toning Device: If you’ve been debating the NUFACE, now is a good time to take the plunge. I love mine. I definitely notice a difference when I use it, but I’ll admit, finding the time to actually get it in, is not as easy as it seems. Experts say to see the biggest difference, you should use it for 5 minutes a day, 4-5x a week to start. After a few months, 3x a week is enough. A

Makeup:

Benefit Precisely My Brow: This brow pencil was one of my most repurchased beauty items in 2019. It’s easy to use and lasts for most of the day.  In the pencil, I use shade #3.

Kosas Tinted Face Oil: Ever since I mentioned that I put a drop of face oil into my foundation (I love this one), I had so many people recommend this one from Kosas. I have yet to try, but I’m assuming it’s the same idea.

Sephora Waterproof Eyeliner: I’ve mentioned this several times in the past few months, but it’s worth noting again. If you’re like me and like to like your waterline, this is the best liner I used. Typically, everything smudges on me within the hour. This is the only eyeliner that actually stays put. Maybe not all day, but a lot longer than any others that I’ve tried. I use color No. 8 and No. 14.

Milk Beauty: I’ve seen a few industry people rave about Milk Makeup, so naturally, curiosity got the best of me. I’m planning to try the Sunshine Skin Tint SPF (heard such good things) and Overnight Lip Mask.

Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Drops: A tiny little pump of this into my morning moisturizer and it adds the most natural, subtle glow.  It also lasts forever. One thing to note: these are not tanning drops like the Tan-Luxe. It adds a glow to your skin, but washes off.

Hair:

Living Proof Dry Shampoo: This continues to be my favorite dry shampoo out there. It leaves my hair feeling cleaner and bouncier without any weird residue. I always repurchase multiple bottles.

Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub: You may have seen me mention this scrub before. Whenever I use it, it continues to impress me. This scrub is the absolute best at detoxifying the scalp. It removes buildup and leaves you with happier, healthier hair.

Olaplex No. 3 & No. 7 oil: I’ve mentioned Olaplex a lot and it continues to be a product that I always stock up on during the sale. This time around, I’m finally putting the No. 7 oil  in my cart. I’ve heard great things and am eager to try!
